Alignment Letter Vol. 9 : Blueprint Alignment - The 8 Life Pillars
Hey there!
Can I ask you something honest?
How many areas of your life have you actually designed, and how many are just running?
Not managing. Not surviving. Actually designed, with intention, by you.
Two Rooms and a Whole House
For almost thirty years, I designed two areas of my life. Career and Purpose. Those rooms were immaculate. Multiple degrees, corner office, the title that made people nod at dinner parties.
The other six? Largely running on autopilot.
Relationships: I lost my first marriage. Not dramatically. Slowly. The way things end when you’re always in the other room. My kids got my residue, not my best.
Health: my body ran on adrenaline until it literally broke. Joy: if you’d asked me what I did for fun, I would have stared at you.
Two rooms immaculate. Six rooms in the dark. And from the outside? Everyone thought I had it all together.
The 8 Life Pillars
This month, we’re looking at all eight areas that make up a well-designed life:
• Purpose & Meaning — do your days feel meaningful, or just full?
• Career & Professional Growth — is your work using who you actually are?
• Health & Vitality — what is your body trying to tell you that you keep ignoring?• Relationships & Connection — where are you showing up authentically, and where are you still performing?
• Financial Foundation — is your relationship with money aligned or anxiety-driven?
• Personal Growth & Learning — where are you stretching, and where have you gotten comfortable?
• Spiritual Alignment & Peace — what grounds you when everything feels uncertain?
• Joy & Life Experience — when did you last do something purely because it made you happy?
Eight pillars. Eight rooms. And I promise you, some of them haven’t had the lights on in a while.
The Ripple Effect
Here’s what makes this framework more than a checklist: the pillars hold each other up.
When Health is depleted, Career suffers because you’re building on fumes. When Joy goes empty, Purpose starts to feel hollow. When Relationships are running on default, everything lonelier than it needs to be.
You don’t have to fix everything at once. That’s not design, that’s panic. But you do have to see the whole house. Because you cannot design what you haven’t looked at.
This Month’s Invitation
To go alongside everything we’re exploring in April, I’ve created The Blueprint Audit, a free tool to help you do a quick honest scan across all eight pillars.
It’s not meant to take an hour. Fifteen to twenty minutes, a quiet space, and a willingness to see clearly. It walks you through where you’re designed and where you’re defaulting, and helps you identify the one pillar that, if strengthened, would create the biggest ripple across everything else.
Your download link is in the CTA section below. Save it somewhere you’ll actually return to.
Reflection Practice
This week, try this:
This week, go through the 8 pillars and ask one simple question about each: Did I design this, or did I just end up here? No fixing. No judgment. Just honest noticing.
Some answers will surprise you. That’s a good sign. It means you’re seeing clearly — and that’s exactly where design begins.

P.S. — The Blueprint Audit is ready for you in the Refelction Practice section above. It’s designed to be used, not just saved. Start with the pillar you’ve been avoiding looking at.
